At the beginning of 2023, Jennings was giving acoustic performances at state parks and coffee shops, recording her album a couple hours at a time between jobs, and only had 1,000 followers, but after she started releasing singles in anticipation of her album, Southern Gothic Romance, her FB following grew to 60,000 in a matter of months, her performances went from coffee shops to sold out shows, festival performances, and ticketed events. By the end of 2023, Jennings had stood in the iconic circle at the Grand Ole Opry house and her song 10:43 is what put her there as she accepted song of the year at the Josie Music Awards.
