More than just a directory—WeRQ Together is a resource map created to reflect the lived experiences of queer, trans, Black and QTPOC communities in Portland. While a map helps guide us, it can’t fully capture the complexities of navigating queer spaces in real life. 

That's why we embrace community input to regularly update and refine what we share, ensuring the resource reflects real-world needs and experiences. 

This project isn’t just about identifying spaces; it’s about building connections, empowering our communities/redistributing power to historically disenfranchised communities, and fostering solidarity.

WeRQ Together is a mutual aid, community-driven resource map curating public info to connect QT folks to safe, inclusive spaces, resources, and businesses in the Portland area. 🌍 All resources are based on publicly available data, like websites or social media, and we don’t share personal info.

We believe "the map is not the territory." This resource is a guide, evolving with community feedback to reflect real needs. It’s powered by gender euphoria and emergent strategy, constantly adapting as we grow. 🏳️‍🌈

🤠 Created by Eli (they/he), a mixed trans-masc non-binary fat queer and often wyt-passing neurodivergent human, WeRQ Together is an ongoing exploration of Portland queer spaces. We share resources, highlight queer-owned/led anything, and foster connections. We don’t have all the answers, but we’re learning and hope to do a ton of gay stuff along the way.
