Through our work here at Chicago Votes, we are constantly and actively working to protect and restore voting rights for incarcerated people and ensure access to civic education. This year, we’ll advocate for the RACE Act (Senate Bill 1733), which would restore voting rights to all impacted by the carceral state. We need your support to pass this bill. To further our fight in the passage of this bill, we’re collecting testimonies from people in support of voting rights in prison through our new miniseries, entitled Silenced. It’s a creative endeavor that gives community members a platform to candidly voice their support of voting in prison and why it’s a crucial issue. If you’re interested, sign up by completing this questionnaire. For questions or additional comments, contact Tre@chicagovotes.com.
